December 2010: PSMI, a Division of GENIVAR, is teaming up with Vancouver Airport Services on the design of the recently announced Runway / Taxiway Rehabilitation project at the Canadian Rockies International Airport (CRIA) in Cranbrook, BC. Approximately $5.3M of funding has been allocated to the project through the Federal Government’s Airport Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).

PSMI has commenced the design work and Plan of Construction Operations for the project which will see the rehabilitation of Runway 16-34, along with Taxiway A and Taxiway B by Hot-in-place Recycling of the existing pavements followed by an asphalt overlay. December 2010: Work continues at a steady pace at the Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport. PSMI, a Division of GENIVAR (PSMI) will be working with the Saskatoon Airport Authority (SAA) on a Hard Pavement Inspection Report that will assesses and document the current condition of all paved surfaces at the Airport, including all airside and landside surfaces. This document is essential for continued safe operations in and around the airport area.

The year 2010 also saw the construction of a new de-icing facility along with an apron expansion. PSMI was selected to provide planning, design and construction supervision support to the SAA for these new facilities. This project will allow the Airport to have a dedicated area for plane de-icing which will increase the effectiveness of airport operations in winter conditions, including an upgraded fluid collection system to ensure all environmental regulations are being met. The apron expansion will provide additional parking and manoeuvring area for groundload aircraft, which is an important aspect of the Airport’s flight operations. We continue to take pride in working with the great team at SAA on these projects
