June 22, 2004: Saint John Airport Authority (SJAA) plans to implement ALFA 2004 Airport Billing Solution Software for their operations. Click here for the complete News Release.

June 1, 2004: Vancouver Airport Services Ltd (YVRAS) has selected the ALFA 2004 Airport Billing Solution Software for their airport operations at Fort St. John Airport, BC and Kamloops, BC. Click here for the complete News Release.

April 26, 2004: St. John’s International Airport Authority (NF) retains PSMI to complete the design and project management for the upgrade of their Runway 29 Category II Approach Lighting System.

April 20, 2004: Grande Prairie Airport (AB) awards 20 year Airport Development Plan to PSMI and Sypher:Mueller International Inc. The Airport Development Plan also includes an Air Service Study, Airport Business Plan, and the completion of an Airport Economic Impact Statement.

April 20, 2004: Tofino Airport (BC) awards standing offer contract to PSMI to project manage all of the Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP) projects.

April 1, 2004: PSMI opens new Ottawa office to improve access to federal aviation authorities and help to better serve existing and future clients in eastern Ontario, Québec and the Maritimes. Click here for the complete News Release.

March 16, 2004: Edmonton International Airport, AB awards Phase II Cargo Apron development project to PSMI. This $10 million project, which includes a new access road, sanitary/water servicing for new tenants, and a de-icing facility, will be completed over the next few years in a phased approach, with the Preliminary Design currently underway for all phases. Construction activities for Phase I will commence in Spring 2005.

March 15, 2004: Sypher Mueller International Inc. (Sypher) and Pryde Schropp McComb Inc. (PSMI) today announced a worldwide alliance. Click here for the complete News Release.

March 12, 2004: Transport Canada announces 2004-2005 Airport Capital Assistance Program (ACAP) projects. PSMI is involved with ACAP projects at: Fort St. John, Thompson, Churchill Falls, Deer Lake, Moosonee, Nakina, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Windsor and Stony Rapids. These projects total over $10.3 million and represents approximately 32% of the total ACAP funding for 2004-2005. Click here to the Transport Canada News Release.

March 10, 2004: The City of Brockville, ON, City of the 1000 Islands, selected PSMI to provide airport planning, design and tendering services for a proposed 1000 ft. runway extension at the Brockville – 1000 Islands Regional Airport.  The work includes obstruction surveys, airfield pavement design and visual aid modifications.

March 4, 2004: The consultant team led by Sypher:Mueller International Inc. (www.sypherintl.com) was awarded the $20 million redevelopment of the E.T. Joshua Airport in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.  The project team is led by Sypher with PSMI completing the evaluation, planning, and design of all airfield upgrades.  The project includes the complete reconstruction of the airfield pavements, a 20,000m2 apron expansion, and new visual aids ($10 million).  A major terminal building redevelopment is part of the project led by Queens Quay Architects of Toronto ($10 million). 

March 2, 2004: St. John’s International Airport Authority, NF retained the services of PSMI to complete the design for Precision Approach Path Indicators for all runways.

March 1, 2004: PSMI announces that their ALFA airport billing software will include a new Lease & Concessions module as part of its major upgrade initiative.  The proposed release date for the new ALFA 2004 software is June 2004.

February 26, 2004: Tofino Airport, BC selects PSMI’s Airport Billing System (ALFA Version 1.3) to make their billing process more efficient. The system will be integrated with additional specialized hardware and software which will allow all movements to be captured at the airport even when unattended.

February 3, 2004. Halifax International Airport Authority, NS commissioned PSMI to complete a Noise Exposure Forecast (NEF) and Noise Exposure Projection (NEP) contour update for the Halifax International Airport. The work program also includes a field noise monitoring program for various locations around the airport.

January 23, 2004: PSMI launches its first newsletter which highlights many of its past, current and future airport related projects. Includes feature columns discussing aerodrome certification, zoning, and other relevant issues for airport operators.

January 23, 2004: PSMI announces launch of re-engineered web site to better serve our existing clientele and to create a more dynamic and informative web site for public access.

January 19, 2004: PSMI in association with Urban Systems Ltd. of Richmond, BC and IPS Consulting Ltd of Edmonton, AB was awarded City of Richmond, BC contract: Research to Review City Airport Noise and Residential Development Policy Consistency

January 5, 2004: PSMI announces its plans to open an office in Ottawa April, 2004. The new office will provide better access to federal aviation authorities, Quebec and our Atlantic Region markets.
